Personal Statement
I provide neuropsychological assessment, personality assessment and cognitive rehabilitation for adults in Chicago, and I currently accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois, Medicare, VMC Behavioral Healthcare and self payment.
Therapeutically, I focus on healing aspects of the relationship through strongly established rapport, a combination of active and interpersonal methods to help clients compensate for and/or work through deficits in attention, memory, language and behavioral control as a result of problems like ADHD, dyslexia, dementia, stroke and head trauma.
At the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, I teach courses in neuropsychology, cognitive/affective neuroscience, intellectual assessment, and effective psychotherapy, and supervise students in their clinical and research work. I conduct my own ongoing research involving music and cognition, decisional capacity, and the implications of individual cases on important aspects of neurocognition.
