Personal Statement
Is life more difficult than it used to be?
Some questions that are helpful in determining whether therapy may be beneficial for you include:
- Do you find yourself worrying often about unimportant things?
- Do you argue with your spouse about the same things often?
- Are you angry often?
- Are you tired, bored or do you feel unproductive in your life?
- Do you ever feel stuck in your job or parenting situations?
- Are relationships or marriage difficult for you?
- Are you or are you becoming addicted to substances, including alcohol, drugs or food?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then you should consider a therapy consultation.
Most of my patients are referred to me by physicians, family practitioners, psychiatrists and patients themselves. Many of my patients have never been in therapy before and were hesitant about it in the beginning. However, they report that it is very useful and that they see results quickly. The length of treatment is different for each individual. It can be short term (2-5 sessions), or ongoing depending on individual needs.
Feedback about my therapeutic skills includes that I am honest and patient, that I am able to confront patients in a non-judgmental and nurturing manner, and that I provide practical guidance and attainable therapeutic goals and solutions. In addition, many patients, including some who have been in therapy for years with other therapists, find it easy to open up to me and to begin significant therapeutic progress.
Please feel free to call for a consultation before making an appointment.
