Overview
Dr. Rothke earned his Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Kentucky. He is board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. Prior to founding his practice, he was Director of the Neuropsychology Testing Laboratory and head of the Department of Psychology at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
Dr. Rothke has been providing professional services for over 20 years to a wide range of client and referral sources including government, health care and industrial organizations. He has helped individuals return to work following brain injury, depressive disorders, multiple sclerosis and other disabilities and assisted management on how to best supervise these individuals and maximize their productivity. He provides strategies for increasing attention, memory, and problem solving efficiency to executives and line staff.
Dr. Rothke has published articles in legal, insurance, and psychology journals including Psychological Assessment, Forensic Reports, and Consulting to Management. His work addresses key concerns of businesses and employees including disability determination, fitness for duty, evaluation of competencies, development of job modifications to accommodate a mental disability, expert testimony, and assessment of exaggerated claims of impairment. He has appeared on the NBC Nightly News and his practice has been featured in the Chicago Tribune.

Personal Statement
Dr. Rothke is on faculty at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, and is on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He served as the President of the Illinois Psychological Association for 2007-2008, and is currently President-elect and will serve a second term as President in 2009-2010.
Dr. Rothke provides services to his clients on a self-pay basis. He is no longer associated with any health insurance panel and is no longer submitting charges to any HMO or PPO. Referrals are accepted from case managers at workers' compensation and disability insurance companies, and from employers who are funding the evaluation and consulting services directly.
Dr. Rothke also provides Fitness-for-Duty Evaluations and Competency Evaluations. He identifies the need for and develops accommodations for mental and emotional disabilities in the workplace.
