Joel Sherr received a Master's degree with honors from the University of Illinois and is a licensed Clinical Social Worker. Ten years ago Joel began his specialty in marital and couples counseling. After working with hundreds of couples he has developed techniques which help partners understand what is behind their problems in arguing, anger and communications. Many couples get stuck arguing over and over about the same issues without any resolution or appreciation of what the other person is saying. The goal of couples counseling is to overcome these painful interactions and replace them with a more caring relationship. There are better alternatives than either silence or anger.
