Dr. Mike was awarded his doctoral degree in counseling psychology (1975) from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles), which is ranked as one of the nation's top 19 schools by USNews and World Report.

He earned his master's degree in human resources development and health services management at Webster University (St. Louis).

In 1987 he also completed the nationally acclaimed Sexual Dysfunction Treatment program at Loyola University of Chicago directed by Dr. Domeena Renshaw, a widely recognized authority on sexual dysfunction.
