Personal Statement

I am a seasoned counselor with over 20 years of experience dividing my time between counseling children, and teens and counseling adults. I have worked with the vast spectrum of behavioral, emotional and social problems using play therapy, cognitive behavioral, and family therapy techniques. I have experience dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, autistic spectrum and adjustment issues including divorce and grief. With adults, I use cognitive behavioral techniques and more insight oriented treatment approaches dealing with anxiety, depression, adjustment to divorce, grief and loss, eating disorders and job related issues. I am also a marriage and family therapist using solution focused, structured and supportive therapies with couples and parents. Collaboration with schools, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, hospitals pediatricians, or other collateral professionals is a standard part of my practice.
